Fairfield Manor
A small group of us put on a show at a residential care centre in Broadstairs on Thursday. We visit the home every year, just before Christmas and provide a couple of hours of entertainment. I did comedy magic act, a balloon modelling act and finally a set of classic magic tricks performed to music – something I haven’t done for a very long time.

On Friday 15th December 2006 I took part in the Christmas Cracker Variety Show at the Granville Theatre in Ramsgate. This is a charity show that is put on every year by the Starlite Entertainers and is free to senior citizens living in Ramsgate. The theatre was full and everyone seemed to have a great time.
 
 
Back to School
I recently volunteered to do a magic show for the class that my wife teaches at a local school, as a little Christmas treat for the kids. News of the show spread; first it became a show for the whole of year 1, then for reception as well. By the day of the show I was due to do four shows in a day each for a different year group.
It was a very busy day, but the children were great and it was a fantastic opportunity to try work on a few new effects.
I finished the day by running the magic workshop for a group of guides that my wife helps with, making the total to five shows in one day a record for me I think.
