IBM Convention 2008

I recently return from the International Brotherhood of Magicians 72nd Annual convention in Eastbourne.  It was probably one of the best magic conventions I have ever attended, with many of the world’s top magicians performing and lecturing.  It is also a chance to meet up with old friends and make a few new ones.

Highlights for me included seeing Juan Tamariz, Levent, Raymond Crowe, Jeff Hobson and Michael Finney performing.  The final Saturday evening gala show was just brilliant.

Congratulations to Jonathan Shotton on winning both the originality and overall 1st place prizes in the Stage competition.  A lot of hard work had gone into this act and it showed in his performance.

IBM Convention 2008 about to begin

Just arrived in Eastbourne for the International Brotherhood of Magicians Convention.  While my wife kindly looks after the children at home I will be enjoying 4 days of non-stop magic from some of the best magicians in the world (thanks Jen).

Addington Street Historic Fair 2008

Just returned from another busy day at the Addington Street Historic Fair in Ramagate.  I did 3 magic shows during the day and made lot’s of ballon animals for the children.  The rain just about stayed away, and the event seemed pretty busy.

Southern Sorcerers Show 2008

The Southern Sorcerers

Every 2 or 3 years the Southern Sorcerers put on a magic and variety show to raise money for charity.  This year it will be held at the Birchington Village Centre at 7.30p.m. on Saturday November 1st. 

I will be performing in the show along with the other memeber of the Southern Sorcerers and a few special guests.  It is looks like it’s going to be a great show. 

Previous shows have sold out so get your tickets early.  Tickets are £6 for adults, £4 for children (under 14) and are available from The Palace Cinema, Broadstairs (01843) 865726 or Allan The Magic Man on (01843) 846846.  All proceeds to be donated to BBC Children in Need.

Facebook

I have finally worked out how to use Facebook.  I set up my profile a few weeks ago but have recently also added a new Facebook page specifically for my magic.  Click here to view my new Facebook page.

There is a group for my other web site MasterWord (an online interactive worg game).
